The
mattress, as a shelter and a place for rest, but also as a space where
one traces the flowing states of mind. Using rules stemming from
polyphonic music and being inspired by artists' studies of female
figures, the work is woven as a canvas for three voices - bodies.
The
viewer is introduced into a very intimate girlish image. As the work
progresses, the three women unfold their physical subjectivities onto
their beds. It is a visual rearticulation of the vagueness,
obsessiveness, confusion and sweetness of the moments in between sleep
and being awake.
